    Performance with light and paint brushes during the exhibition «Friedrich Glauser – Ce n’est pas très beau» at Strauhof Zurich in 2016

     

    We draw inspiration from Glauser’s haunting and visionary, beautiful poetry:

    «Beautiful painful present, in which one wants to live forever.» Gourrama

    «This hurry towards the future at the expense of the present, isn’t that the curse of our time?» from Wacht­meister Studer

    Instead of «deliver us from evil» it should say: «deliver us from the past»

    The Foreign Legion is a school of despair. All that is low, the lack of any nice gesture, it brings you down in an unbelievable way.

    Truth has nothing to do with words.

    This must happen as well, right? That the words start to get mouldy.

    One unlearns to lie during analysis; that is one of its main advantages. I do not mean everyday lying, without which social life would be impossible, but the more dangerous one: deceiving oneself. There are reserved areas in every soul that are so sensitive they just cannot stand the spotlight illumination of the spoken word.
